I love Christmas, and I love reading. This year, I decided to weave those two loves together and create a Christmas tree for my library. Every element is handmade: the garland, the book cover ornaments, the globe-shaped quote baubles. The opening paragraphs of Charles Dickens’s 𝘈 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘭, are written on the garland. The ornaments feature covers and quotes from some of my all-time favorite books; tiny tributes to the stories that shaped me.By the time all was said and done, I put nearly 200 hours of work into this tree (I began working on it in August ).
